What Accreditation Canada Involves
York Addiction values our clients' safety, health, and happiness above all else, which is why we put real care into keeping our services at the highest possible quality, reflected in our Exemplary Standing accreditation. The process itself involves an in-depth analysis of on-site programs, services, client interactions, and more. Once Accreditation Canada completes a full assessment of the facility, the results are compared against best-in-class standards set by the HSO. Any recommended improvements have to be implemented within a reasonable time frame, and only once those standards are actually met is accreditation awarded. Those standards are also constantly being updated to keep pace with the strictest levels of excellence in the industry, so clients can be confident they're receiving genuinely current, best-available care rather than a one-time seal of approval.
Why Our Accreditation Matters
Accreditation Canada's program is a Canadian-focused platform that assesses health centres against more than 100 tailored standards, and a team of local surveyors and healthcare professionals thoroughly inspected our facilities and programs before granting us this accreditation. Very few drug and alcohol addiction centres are accredited with Exemplary Standing, which puts York Addiction in a class of its own.
